Navtej Johal

Navtej is a fourth-year student in the Biology and PNB program. He joined ABEL in spring 2026 as a 4QQ3 project student. During this time, he managed the field team for population monitoring of round goby. He is now conducting his undergraduate thesis under the joint supervision of Dr. Sigal Balshine and Dr. Ben Bolker. His thesis is focused on the relationship between round goby and their predators in Hamilton Harbour. He will be investigating this relationship using existing population abundance data and time series analyses. In his free time Navtej enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons, climbing, hiking, writing and, playing video games.
